The Academic Advisors, located in the Student Affairs office, provide students
with information to assist them in making academic decisions and in developing
an academic plan
for successful completion of program requirements and utilization of the
full range of college resources. In addition, advising services are provided
by faculty, academic directors, and the Dean of Academic Affairs.
The Academic Advisors at The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago are available to assist you, the student, throughout your academic career at this institution. They are located in the Student Affairs office and also maintain an office at the Loop campus.
-Help students understand the academic policies and procedures
-Assist in the development of academic goals
-Provide guidance through the course registration process
-Direct students to tutoring services in the Learning Center
-Refer students to counseling services and other resources
-Interface with academic directors, faculty, and various departments
Students are encouraged to take full advantage of the services that the academic advising team can provide. It is important to remember that academic advisors must be viewed as a support system for you. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please call 312-777-8615 or stop by the Student Affairs office to see an academic advisor; walk-in appointments are always welcome.

If you haven't picked-up your supply kit during orientation, follow these
2 steps to pick-up your kit:
1) Go to the Accounting Department to get a voucher
2) Go to the Campus Store and present your voucher
New and Re-entry students may obtain their Student ID during the first week of the quarter. Please visit the Student Affairs office for more information.
Remember to carry your student ID card at all times with you. You may be asked to present it to access the campus or to use a computer lab.
