The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago encourages students to adopt a service-oriented philosophy and to be involved within the College. Student Life Services include wellness programs, events and community service activities, clubs and student organizations.

Scope of Services

Student Life Services strive to increase student success by assisting students in developing competencies in problem solving strategies, relationship building, leadership skills, career related skills and promoting opportunities for positive social interaction through programming. Included in our program is a focus on diversity and activities that foster respect of cultural, ethnic and gender differences.

Orientation events provide students with an introduction to the academic environment, extracurricular life, residence life and campus surroundings.

Welcome week activities encourage positive interaction among students by involving them in special activities that promote introductions and relationship building.

Monthly programs consist of wellness activities, cultural events, heritage awareness and holiday celebrations, and community service events.
